Rolex Oyster Perpetual Deepsea Challenge 50 Black Dial Black Ceramic Bezel RLX Titanium Oyster Bracelet 126067
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual Deepsea Challenge Reference 126067 is the most extreme and technically profound production watch ever released by Rolex. Unveiled in 2022, it is a commercial adaptation of the experimental watch that accompanied filmmaker James Cameron to the Mariana Trench in 2012. It is notable for being Rolex’s first series-produced watch made entirely of titanium (Source 1.1, 3.3).
The watch is engineered for abyssal depths, featuring a massive diameter of 50 mm and a thickness of approximately 23 mm (Source 1.1). The case and bracelet are constructed from RLX Titanium, Rolex’s proprietary Grade 5 titanium alloy. This material makes the watch approximately 30% lighter than its steel experimental predecessor, significantly improving wearability despite its size (Source 1.1, 1.3).
The case utilizes the patented Rolex Ringlock System architecture, which allows it to withstand phenomenal water pressure. Key components of this system include:
-
A thick, slightly domed 9.5 mm sapphire crystal.
-
A nitrogen-alloyed steel compression ring that absorbs the pressure (Source 3.4).
-
A screw-down case back made of RLX Titanium (Source 3.4).
The watch is fitted with a Helium Escape Valve (HEV) on the case side, an essential feature for saturation diving (Source 1.1). The winding crown utilizes the Triplock triple waterproofness system (Source 3.4).
The water resistance is certified to an extraordinary depth of 11,000 metres (36,090 feet), which is 100 meters deeper than the Mariana Trench, and it is tested to a safety margin pressure equivalent to 13,750 metres (Source 3.2, 3.4).
The case is topped by a Unidirectional Rotatable 60-Minute Graduated Bezel. The insert is a virtually scratchproof Black Cerachrom (ceramic) with numerals and graduations coated in platinum via PVD (Source 1.3, 1.4).
The timepiece is fitted with a satin-finished Oyster bracelet in RLX Titanium, featuring a distinct grainy texture (Source 1.1). It includes both dive extension systems: the Rolex Glidelock extension system and the Fliplock extension link, allowing it to be worn comfortably over a diving suit up to 7 mm thick (Source 4.1).

The centerpiece is the highly legible Intense Black Dial. The dial is intentionally straightforward, featuring no date display, focusing solely on reliable timekeeping (Source 1.1). It uses simple, large geometric shapes – triangles, circles, and rectangles – as hour markers, and broad hour and minute hands, ensuring legibility in extreme darkness (Source 1.4).
The hands and markers are filled with Chromalight, which emits a long-lasting blue luminescence for visibility in low-light and deep-sea conditions (Source 1.5).
Under the dial lies the high-performance Calibre 3230 movement. This self-winding mechanical movement is the time-only version of Rolex’s latest generation of movements (Source 4.1).
